The Cold Truth About Keeping Sales Momentum...

Ever felt like you had to stop doing sales to fulfill your customers?

That, if you don’t fulfill, your current customers will run away?

That’s how I felt last year… leaving me to shut off my sales system, telling myself “It’ll only pause for 30 days until I can get momentum with my new clients…”

And that’s when everything went downhill…

To put it in perspective, last winter I went camping with my friend.

And if you know anything about camping, usually one of the first things you do is create a fire to keep you warm.

Now, in January, it was about 30 degrees during the day and about 10 degrees in the night… so we desperately needed a fire.

My friend and I worked for hours cutting down dead trees into branches, and branches into kindle…

We had only one match left since the others got wet from the snow, so it was our only hope.

Luckily, we lit the kindle and the fire grew, keeping us warm for hours on end.

At nightfall, we decided to let it die out so we didn’t have to maintain it during the night.

Little did we know, we woke up and everything we brought had frozen over… including our boots.

It was impossible to work in the freezing cold and start the fire up again… especially working in 20-degree weather.

And so it reminded me of our sales system…

that if we kept the fire going (sales and outreach), the momentum wouldn’t have died and it would have brought us more sales (fire warmth).

Then it would have paid for better fulfillment over time.

And that’s a big misbelief that most online businesses have… they think that shutting off their sales systems or remaining comfortable with their sales is a good thing…

That having too many sales would crunch them!

Nothing can be further from the truth.

So, I hope this helped you shift your perspective a bit on sales… with how crucial it is to keep the momentum flowing even if you think you have an abundance or won’t have time to fulfill.

That’s all for today, folks!
